Location
Location: Our guesthouse is located in Barra da Lagoa on the east side of the island,
with beaches facing the open sea, offering ideal activities, such as surfing, diving &
fishing. We are also close to beautiful trails to natural pools and several beaches. For
those who appreciate nature, this is the ideal place. We have easy access to the north,
south and west side of the Island - 18 km to the airport, 20 km to downtown, 18 km to
Praia dos Ingleses, and ~30 km from Canasvieiras & Jurere international.

Lagoa da Conceição
Lagoa da Conceição is located in the middle of the Island, surrounded by hills,
beaches, and sand dunes. This largest lagoon on the island is salty. Many
water sports include wind/kite surfing, stand-up paddling, sailing, hang gliding,
canoeing, and jet skiing. There are tour boats available for exploring the lagoon.
A scheduled boat can transport passengers to Costa da Lagoa where there are restaurants to
enjoy food and drinks. Around the lagoon, there are small villages, like Centrinho da Lagoa, Porto da Lagoa, Canto da Lagoa, Av. Rendeiras, Recanto da Lagoa, Costa da Lagoa, Barra da Lagoa e Rio Vermelho. Centrinho is the largest. There are ATM machines, banks, post office, large supermarkets, bars, pubs, and shops. On Sundays there is a handicraft market and food trucks to sample the variety of regional cuisines. The nightlife goes all year around while in the other small villages only in the high season. In Avenida das Rendeiras there are various restaurants and bars like Casa the Noca, John Bull Pub, and Varandas.

Barra da Lagoa
Barra da Lagoa Beach is officially 650 m in length. However, there is
no geographical marker to separate this beach from Moçambique Beach,
the two combined have a total length of >14 km. In winter (June to August),
the beach is an excellent spot for surfing and long walks. In winter,
commercial mullet fishing is one of the local traditional activities.

Praia Mole
Praia Mole ("soft beach") is very popular with surfers, athletes,
paragliders, and jet-setters. Several bars on the beachfront make it a
hip scene. On the left part of the beach is the famous Deca Bar a GLS bar.
Praia Mole once held one of the biggest Carnival party on the Island.

Joaquina
Joaquina Beach or Joaca, as it is called, was the first beach to
host the National and International Surfing championships in
the 70s. Today Joaca is still frequented by surfers, beach
volleyball and soccer players. Because of the ample parking
and several restaurants, tour buses from all over Brazil frequent
this beach. On the way to Joaca, the largest sand dunes invite
visitors to test their sand boarding skills.
